Splinters

Standard

This poem is a short one about what it means to me to be an author. One person I am acquainted with through a writing group said “It is the job of a writer to use lies to tell the truth.” a modified quote from V for Vendetta and by extension, Alan Moore himself, which originally stated “Artists use lies to tell the truth. Yes, I created a lie. But because you believed it you found something true about yourself.” this is one of my favorite quotes, and it made me think briefly. Thus, Splinters was born. 2016.7.24- Splinters.jpg
