This is another rough draft I have been working on as of late. A lot of these coming at you on the blog will be published in a book in the future. It’s just a whisper in the back of my head currently, but I’ve been working on some poems lately for a book called “I’ve Seen a Ghost” that I’m intending on releasing next year sometime. Filled with the years ups and downs expressed in verse. Poetry has always been a love of mine + I have fallen away from it in recent years, so I’m trying to get back into it.
This one in particular is about falling in and back out of love (popular theme lately, I know.) with someone. It’s about how that first moment when you realize that you’re in love can shift your whole state of mind and change how you view everything in your world, yet when they leave you, you’re still trying to define things based on their accompaniment in your life. It’s called “You Taught Me How to Read” and I hope that you enjoy it.
